Why do images of jesus portray him as having blond hair and blue eyes?

he was born in Isreal, and more East, wouldn't he have been darker? why do people chose to ignore this fact? Shouldnt he have darker skin, hair and eyes?

Why do images of jesus portray him as having blond hair and blue eyes?

Jesus was brown skinned, %26amp; both Middle Easterners and black ppl range in skin tones. He was prob NOT olive skinned toned light. That is all propaganda. They couldn't keep up with the facade of him being white b/c ppl started questioning %26amp; researching, so now we conclusively know he wasn't white.

Now that they can no longer say he was white, the next best thing would be to say he was an olive toned Middle Eastern, never once mentioning that both African %26amp; Middle Eastern ppl have light and dark skin tones. He had African ancestry %26amp; more than likely was mixed with other ethnicities as well.

Egypt is in AFRICA, the M. East was all under Africa in ancient times. Indeginous ppl of Africa are brown skinned ppl. They range from very dark to very light. Middle Eastern ppl are not even indigenous to Africa, they conquered it.

So I don't understand how with all the brown skinned ppl in AFRICA at the time, Jesus wound up with only Olive skinned Middle Eastern ancestry. I'm trying to figure out how he was surrounded by nations of Black Africans and came out completely Middle Eastern, with olive skin.

Why do images of jesus portray him as having blond hair and blue eyes?

If you knew about your religion, you would know that it is incorrect to judge people, and this includes skin colour. Jesus could have been purple, or neon green, it makes no difference. Just because you have the same skin tone as Jesus, it does not make you any better either. Report It

Why do images of jesus portray him as having blond hair and blue eyes?

He's been WESTERNIZED.

Why do images of jesus portray him as having blond hair and blue eyes?

Isn't it irrelevant what colour he was? After all, images are associated with idolatory, whether it be the Son of God or not.....

It's just western influence obviously. Similarly, I'm sure you would also find images of a black Jesus. Although evidently he would have had darker skin, being the Son of God, he could have been any colour. In all probability he wouldn't have been lily white skinned.

On a similar vein, not all believers agree with the crucifixion on a "cross", some would have it that He was crucified on a stake, or log therefore we could argue the Crucifix is wrong too.

It shouldn't matter WHAT you believe as long as you live by it and not be hypocritical, spouting the word of God one day and then condemming your fellow man the next.

Why do images of jesus portray him as having blond hair and blue eyes?

I guess different interpretations of him from different people.

Why do images of jesus portray him as having blond hair and blue eyes?

ive never seen pics of jesus with blonde hair blue eyes

ive seen him tan skin long brown hair and brown eyes.

Why do images of jesus portray him as having blond hair and blue eyes?

he should look like a middle eastern

Why do images of jesus portray him as having blond hair and blue eyes?

Yes, he more than likely would've been darker. Some ppl say they painted him to look like the ppl of that time, which says a lot about who invented Christianity.

I'm not so sure about Middle Eastern, but he would've been brown skinned.

Why do images of jesus portray him as having blond hair and blue eyes?

Because it is an acceptable image to westerners. I have seen pictures of Jesus of all races but in my opinion it would be safe to think he looked middle Eastern.

Why do images of jesus portray him as having blond hair and blue eyes?

I have seen different variations and some different places will make more images of Jesus represented closer to themselves, which seems to make sense, but when it's a white guy in places where the people where it was made/sold aren't white, that just seems kind of weird. I've seen people shocked because of pictures of black Jesus. It'd be pretty hard to survive in those areas, being so fair, unless he stayed indoors a lot.

Why do images of jesus portray him as having blond hair and blue eyes?

I've never seen a Jesus picture with him having blond hair and blue eyes. I usually see brown hair and brown eyes. He should have darker skin and hair being from there.

Why do images of jesus portray him as having blond hair and blue eyes?

people just alter his image for their agenda, on the contrary though nobody know what he looked like.

Why do images of jesus portray him as having blond hair and blue eyes?

Of course he would probably be darker skinned with brown eyes as he was born a Jew.

Many pictures show him this way.

Why do images of jesus portray him as having blond hair and blue eyes?

yeah, cause the painter who first painted the image of Jesus, imagine the looks of the ISRAELITES,blondy curly long hair and has a blue eyed...

Why do images of jesus portray him as having blond hair and blue eyes?

cause white people want to believe he was white but I don't think he was black or White I think he was a Jew who looked brown.

Why do images of jesus portray him as having blond hair and blue eyes?

Think about where/who perpetuated the idea of what he looked like. I agree 110%. Calculating the area he lived in, he would have olive skin. CNN has a pic of what he probably looked like.

Why do images of jesus portray him as having blond hair and blue eyes?

Unfortunatly, we live in a society where we(people of color, african american, native, asian, etc) are the minority. The majority have an idea of what Jesus would look like in their heads and then people create images based on their ideas. That's it. I imagine it is the same reason why Santa is white, and the tooth fairy, fairy god mothers, our presidents, etc. People in power would prefer that they look like the people who have power.

Why do images of jesus portray him as having blond hair and blue eyes?

i don't think so b/c he was born in Bethlehem

Why do images of jesus portray him as having blond hair and blue eyes?

Because the "white world" always want Jesus to be white but most Jewish people know the truth behind all of it in the scrolls or wat ya call it the torah......I personally Believe jesus had an african descent or another word for Middle Eastern.....Wow message from a 14 year old.......do not believe the old saying "white is right"............thats wat they want us to beleive(african americans)

Why do images of jesus portray him as having blond hair and blue eyes?

Factually it said he had wooly like hair and olive skin.

That doesnt make him black dont get me wrong, but factually thats the correct image of jesus .

lol why am i getting thumbed down there was a whole documentary on this on the history channel shouldnt you all click in once in a while?honey olive skinned cAN BE CAUSED BY THE SUN to much sun = tan tan tan

Why do images of jesus portray him as having blond hair and blue eyes?

agreed he was middle eastern but i also have seen him portrayed as a black man also and that is incorrect also every race has a image of him

hell ive even seen a Santa Clause portrayed as a black man along with the Simpsons

Why do images of jesus portray him as having blond hair and blue eyes?

We will only know what he looks like when it's our time. I personally wouldn't know lol.

Why do images of jesus portray him as having blond hair and blue eyes?

Same reason he is sometimes seen as being a black man with an afro or jerry curl. It's artistic interpretation.

Why do images of jesus portray him as having blond hair and blue eyes?

To subjugate other races in the world by using a "white" image, thus, having them to believe white is superior. It's what all missionaries used...still use.

Why do images of jesus portray him as having blond hair and blue eyes?

Western thought tries to make most things look white.

Jesus would have been brown skinned, and he had African ancestry. The original Jews were black. Black ppl can have a variety of shades, but most ppl believe black has to be dark skinned, which is why it's offensive to some ppl to be called black.

In Ancient times, incl the time of Jesus the Arabian peninsula was part of what we call Africa today. His ancestors would have had Hamitic blood through all the intermixing back then.

Why do images of jesus portray him as having blond hair and blue eyes?

because the man said he is white with blue eyes so ever one belive that but if you do some thinking how can a man born in africa be white. lol just another way 2 hold a brother down.

Why do images of jesus portray him as having blond hair and blue eyes?

i haven't seen the blue eyed Jesus with blond hair version. I've just seen the brown eyed brown haired jesus. I think every culture has it's idea of what Jesus looked like. Like some people think he was black, even though middle eastern people aren't really black either..........he was most likely brown skinned

Why do images of jesus portray him as having blond hair and blue eyes?

Cultural differences.

Why do images of jesus portray him as having blond hair and blue eyes?

me , i think he was brown like the ppl in the middle east. ppl like to think of jesus as looking like them.

Why do images of jesus portray him as having blond hair and blue eyes?

The Bible is so symbolic in it's descriptions of things. You take what you can from it. Most religions want to make their God resemble themselves.

The hairs of his head were white, like white wool, like snow. His eyes were like a flame of fire, his feet were like burnished bronze, refined in a furnace, and his voice was like the roar of many waters.

Sounds like a dark man with a white fro to me.

Why do images of jesus portray him as having blond hair and blue eyes?

Seriously. That gets on my nerves. It's pretty much worshipping a fake jesus if you're going to change his looks that drastic!
