My hair is brown but i really want to die blond?

Actually you can dye your hair a lighter colour, contrary to what the lady ahead of me has said. It depends on how light you want to go.

Seek the advice of a professional stylist to see what would be the safest, best option.

Don't do it yourself, but have it done properly by a professional for best results.

I also have light brown hair naturally and have been colouring it blond (no bleaching) for over a decade. I do get some lighter blond highlights which are bleached, as well as some light brown lowlights to match my roots, which enables me to put off getting the colour retouched by a couple of weeks and gives my hair colour more depth. It looks great, by the way! My best feature by far! :)

Good luck!

No! That can be really bad at times. if you do to many things to yor hair it can break off. Just leave it the way it is. let your own beauty flow.

You have to bleach your hair blond, you can't dye hair a lighter color. And that is the worst thing you can do to your hair, followed closely by a permanent.

I don't think so. While blond is beautiful, so is brown (and we can't forget red hair either)! Natural is always better.....and if you want to get technical, blond hair usually only looks natural on fair skinned people.

But, its your hair...if you think it would look better blond then by all means do what you feel is best. Good luck!

Mine is naturally reddish brown and I just dyed it dark dark brown to get rid of the reddish color coz my skin is yellow-white and it looks bad to have reddish hair with yellow skin. Makes me look sickly. Anyways. Blond is no good with yellow skin either. Go darker.

if you feel like, do it. Dont ask people, it's your choice. :) The beauty of you is exllenant and it is alway be :)

If you want to die blonde, you can dye your hair right b4 your death. It won't be natural, but it's as close as you will get. I don't know if people will remember you as a blonde though. Although it is true that blondes have more fun, I don't think it will make your death anymore fun. But you can give it a try.

If you are thinking Blondes have more fun..its not true..I dyed my hair and it didn't help a bit!!! Good luck if you go for it.

Dying your hair can break it...

If you do end up deciding to bleach your hair, make sure it gets done by a professional. I tried to bleach my hair once and I even had a friend help me but my roots turned out a different shade then the rest of my hair. It's taken six months to slowly get it back to my natural hair color by dying it once a month.

my hair is naturally dark blond but it turns more and more blond when i'm in the sun... i wish i had reddish hair! red hair is soooo pretty- i wouldn't die it. but hey- it's your hair, do what u think would look best on u!!! good luck!

I am also a natural brunette. For most of my life my hair would naturally get blonder during the summer, and I also had a lot of natural blonde highlights.

A few years ago I decided to get my hair highlighted for the first time, and I had it done very subtly. Each time I got in they give my hair a little more blonde, so now most people consider me a blonde rather than a brunette. And it looks incredibly natural.

I would first and foremost recommend getting it done in a salon. If you bleach your hair at home you run the risk of causing excess damage. I know at my salon they wash my hair with a conditioning treatment after each session, which helps repair a lot of the damage that coloring your hair causes. Plus if you get it done professionally it is definitly worth the higher cost. I once tried an at home box, which did not work at all. And the cost of that kit and the cost to fix my hair was twice as much as it would have costed me to go to a salon in the first place.

I would also recommend getting a lot of highlights as opposed to coloring all of your hair. I am a huge fan of hair color looking natural. If you choose this, ask a stylist to do use foils and to do a full instead of a partial. This means that they will use foil all over head as opposed to the top of your head along your part.

Good luck, and I hope this helps!
