I'm a natural blond.. should I dye my hair brown?

I love my hair.. been blond for 20 years now.. But i guess i'm just kind of bored with it.. I'm a natural born blond... i've never even dyed my hair before... But I was thinking just for the winter I'd like it to be brown.. If I dyed my hair brown.. how would I get my hair back to it's natural color, with all my natural highlights?... would the only way to get it back to normal be to strip my hair? I'm afraid to dye it brown because I don't know how i'd get my natural color back.

I'm a natural blond.. should I dye my hair brown?

No!

-it kills your hair, BELIEVE ME, my sister did it,

and she's spend hundreds trying to get it as shiny soft

and healthy as before.

-you will NOT get your natural highlights like before,

-after only a couple weeks of having it died, your blonde

roots will look horrible against your brown hair.

not prettyy.

Stick with your blonde,

If you're getting bored, you can

brighten your face with a few face-framing highlights.

Keep it subtle by going just a few shades lighter than

your natural color.

it would be practically impossible to get it exactly back to the way it is now, but if you have pictures, then when you want to go back to blonde you should take them to the salon and show the colorist exactly what you want your hair to look like. you should be able to get it close, but it will be pretty damaging!

don't do it!!! blonde is beautiful!

Don't dye your hair! Blondes should always stay natural. Believe me, your natural hair color always looks THE BEST on you, i mean that's why you were born with it, right? If you dye it , yes it is possible to get your hair color back, but it won't ever be the same.

will it matter........

I'm a natural blond.. should I dye my hair brown?

If I were you, I wouldn't. If you love your hair the way it is don't dye it. You prolly couldn't ge the natural highlights back either. You could always dye it brown then dye it back and get highlights and low lights. Another thing is if you do dye you hair brown you should make sure it would actually look good with your coloring and complection.

no not just yet! try high lighting it brown first nd seeing if you like it bcoz remember there IS tht risk of never getting your hairs natural colour bakk.! xx

Nahh, i'm a brunette; its not all its cracked up to be. I think you should stay blonde, i think it would be a waste of such lovely sounding hair. However if you want to go for it.

I'm a natural blond.. should I dye my hair brown?

no cause u would look very diffrent

You don't have to worry..

Whether you colour your hair brown, black, pink, red or blue..your hair will grown in the colour of your natural hair.

Hair grows from the roots. If you colour the tip of your hair red..it doesn't make a difference to the blonde thats growing from the roots. WHen you go for a haircut...the red tip you've coloured will get chopped off and what you'll be left with is what your hair looked like before the red tip.

SO even if you do colour your hair Brown...you will get your natural blonde colour back provided you are willing to wait for your hair to grow that long.

You can go to the salon to get a cut every 3-4 months so your can maintain the length of your hair...

Your hair will be completely brown in the begining...

After a month or two, your crown will be your natural blonde and the rest brown.

The same way..as time goes by..the % of blonde from above will increase and the % of brown from below will decrease as you will be cutting your hair. Eventually your entire hair will return to your natural colour.

I have long jet black hair and I had coloured my hair completely dark brown with dark blonde streaks. My hair grows fast..so within a year my hair had grown out and I had my natural jet black hair back...to the same long length

Depending on your hair length..and the speed at which your hair grows...it might take between 10 months-2 years to grow back to the same length in the narural blonde colour.

If you have short hair upto your neck for example and your hair grows slow...it will take around 10-12months for the brown to go and be back to the same in blonde.

Do not colour your hair if you want colour only for a few months.

Recolouring your hair to get it back to blonde is stupidity...it will also dry your hair out.

Sorry for blabbering so much...been through this quiet a few times =)
