A lot of people say it's because of racism but I don't think they would be doing it if she had brown or black hair, so it isn't as simple as that.
Why does the American media only obsess over dead/missing people who have blond hair? (e.g, Natalie Holloway)?
Lacey Peterson, the runaway bride,Chandra Levy, and the most recent one in Reno,Nv(i can't remember her name)were all brunettes.

I don't know if this is accurate but it is called "Missing white woman syndrome."

We don't only obsess over blondes, though we are still somewhat racist and classist. Natalie H. is a good and fair topic of our obsession because such a tremendous injustice has been perpetrated in the handling of her murder case, and because there's body to bring finality to her loss for her family.

sad to say...but ..i...think your on to something....

Watching the news is like watching a soap opera. The media is designed to sell sensationalism. Right now Natalie Holloway is making them a bucket load of cash, and that閳ユ獨 all there is to it. Race sells newspapers and pumps up ratings. Personally I don閳ユ獩 see race as an issue, mainly because of the recent media blitz related to the Jena Six. If the media was driven to favor white (Blonde) people then Jena 6 would have received far less press. Instead both issues have been milked for the cash cows they are. A truly neglected group of people are the disabled working people of America. These people live in misery and not a word is said about it.

What about Lacey Peterson. Also think of this, who isn't blonde these days? American media is so messed up right now. White centric and national centric. It's all crap. That's why I watch the BBC.
